This is a digital character design of a desert bug. I took inspiration from several different bugs and creatures when I designed it, it's a little bit of a scorpion, beetle, dragonfly, and the little orb it's holding is actually part of it's neck that extends out like a bullfrog. It'd be upsettingly large in the real world, almost as big as a toddler, but they're not aggressive creatures.
