I set this photo up after the sun set and I used the lights in my yard to light the scene. This photo was meant to represent the eve of an adventure. Some say it’s bad luck to start an adventure on a Sunday. In this photo it like the anticipation of an adventure. The flowers represent this anticipation and rising excitement.

Artist Statement
Phoebe Thompson was born in Salt Lake City and was raised in Layton. She got into photography in her last year of high school and has been fascinated by it ever since. Generally she photographs things from everyday life but sometimes she stages photos and adds meaning to them.
In November of 2022 she was accepted into the President’s Art show and was able to sell her piece called “Road to Adventure”.
