Behind the Camera
This photo was meant to show my unwillingness to be in front of the camera. I put a flower over my eye to hide even when I’m front of the camera. I intended for the light to be dramatic and to hide half of my face as well. If you look closely you can see my other eye.

Artist Statement
Phoebe Thompson was born in Salt Lake City and was raised in Layton. She got into photography in her last year of high school and has been fascinated by it ever since. Generally she photographs things from everyday life but sometimes she stages photos and adds meaning to them.
In November of 2022 she was accepted into the President’s Art show and was able to sell her piece called “Road to Adventure”.
