Oil on wood canvas. The idea with this piece was to paint the cacti with colors that you would not typically see in real life giving a bit of a surrealism feeling.

Artist Statement
When I was a little kid I would look at a piece of art and think, wow I wish I could do that. I rediscovered my love of art in 2018 and have been practicing/exploring different mediums and styles ever since. I really like the mental challenge of figuring out how to compose a piece of artwork, and I look forward to pushing myself and improving. Currently my favorite mediums are white charcoal and black ink.
